Student Support
Diploma workshops and taught support

Optional workshops are run during the academic year to provide students with the opportunity to meet examiners and seek assistance and clarification with their studies. They also offer a valuable opportunity to meet fellow students to share information and experiences. Workshops are currently available only in the UK.

IRM is also in consultation with leading universities across the world to develop optional supporting courses to help students with their studies. Watch the IRM website for details.

Module handbooks
Key course content, plus advice and guidance on studying for the module, including self-assessment questions and case studies. They also contain important administrative information.

Learning materials

All required reading for each module is provided online. Wider reading material is also available via IRM's online knowlege centre.

Guidance on required reading

Students also receive complimentary subscriptions to leading risk management journals.

Module discussion boards
An online discussion board is available for each module, designed to enable students from all over the world to network, discuss, share ideas and assist each other with their studies and preparation for assessment of each module.

Access to module examiners

Examiners regularly review the on-line module discussion boards to answer any student questions or concerns and can also be contacted directly through email.

Practice examination questions
Examples of examination papers are available and are a valuable revision aid when preparing for examinations.

Practice examination

Students wail be provided with the opportunity to complete a practice exam. This does not count towards passing a module, but is strongly recommended as it will give students an indication of the level and standard of work expected.

Voluntary study groups
Students are encouraged to set or join informal study groups in their area, arranged via the discussion forums.

Complimentary subscriptions
Students are encouraged to keep up with the latest risk management thinking, with complimentary subscriptions to leading industry publications.
