The Board sets and manages the strategic direction of IRM and has overall responsibility for the management of its finances. Details on the role and responsibilities of directors can be found in our Board Charter.
There are two methods of appointment - elected directors are elected by the members of IRM, technical directors are nominated by the Board, and appointed by the members at the Annual General Meeting. This call for nominations is for two Elected Directors and two Technical Directors.
Elected directors must be Fellows (CFIRM/FIRM) or Members (CMIRM/MIRM) of the Institute. Technical directors do not have to be members.
We welcome nominations from all parts of the world; travel and accommodation expenses for attending Board meetings will be met, although attendance via video link is also available.
These should be read alongside the “IRM Non-executive Director Person Specification” and the “IRM Technical Director Requirements”. Nominations for Elected Directors will need to use the form “IRM Elected Director Nomination Form”.
Elections are held in accordance with the election procedures agreed by the Board. A copy of these procedures is available here.
