5th European Risk Conference

13 - 4 September 2012, Luxembourg

IRM will be supporting the 5^th European Risk Conference taking place in Luxembourg on 13 and 14 September 2012. Organised by the European Risk Research Network, this conference brings together academics from across Europe who specialise in the teaching and research of risk to present their research papers. This year the programme includes over 24 papers on subjects as diverse as accounting for ethical risk management, the (mis)use of conditional value at risk and spectral risk measures, operational risk escalation in UK call centres, risk governance in UK insurers and risk in the Norwegian petroleum industry. IRM will be sponsoring a prize for the best paper, judged not only by its academic rigour but also its potential for practical application and effective communication of ideas.
