Working closely with the Group Risk Manager, we require an Assistant Risk Manager to take responsibility for internal processes and to support a range of risk management areas across our 26 businesses located around the world.

Working as a point of contact for the Group, it is imperative that as Assistant Risk Manager you:

• Support the development, implementation, monitoring and review of Group policy and practice across a range of high profile policy areas, including the risk management process, business continuity planning, health and safety, embargoes compliance, and corporate responsibility reporting
• Develop, implement and refine the Group policy and process for managing and monitoring export controls and embargoes compliance across the Group

To be successful as Assistant Risk Manager, it is essential that you:

• Experience of successfully implementing complex business processes at a corporate level
• Knowledge and appreciation of Group strategic objectives, organisation and operational management processes
• An understanding of the commercial environment and factors influencing business performance
• Good oral and written communication skills to all levels, from employees to the board
• Technical knowledge of risk management and compliance processes supported where appropriate  by academic and professional qualifications
• To provide trusted support and guidance to the Executive Committee and business management teams on export control and other risk management topics as appropriate
