Your career to date has led you to this point. You are at a crossroads of moving from risk assessment, insurance, auditing or even accountancy, into a role with a more strategic focus. This role covers the whole organisation and boy are we diverse! In Auckland we cover the complete Council A to Z, from the Art Gallery to the Zoo.

You will provide independent advice and assurance to the Auckland City Council Chief Executive and senior management, and ensure that we are effectively and efficiently identifying and managing key organisational risks. Your meticulous attention to detail, coupled with your ability to view the bigger picture, will be invaluable. You will also genuinely enjoy working with people at all levels, with roles as wide ranging as the broad nature our organisation reflects.

Your focus will be on promoting and refining good risk management practice across a diverse range of groups within Auckland City Council. Championing risk management, motivating change to a risk aware culture and demonstrating the added value of risk management will come naturally to you. Ideally, your risk management background will include exposure to local authority environments and you will hold a professional/tertiary qualification appropriate to the role.
