Zurich’s Risk and Control Team currently has an exciting opportunity in Whiteley for a Risk Manager to join their established team to support the UK General Business in its management of operational risk. Providing assurance on the application of the operational risk process, providing quarterly analysis and reporting, as well as driving improvements and best practice across the organisation. This will include supporting business units with Solvency II from a governance, organisation, documentation and regulatory requirements perspective as well as providing meaningful insight on risk models and their inputs & outputs.
Successful applicants will have proven Risk Management experience ideally within a financial services environment. You will be degree qualified with a background in quantitative analysis, with a solid understanding of risk and capital models, Solvency II knowledge is desirable but not essential.
Some knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred but not essential and some
experience of working with large organisations is desirable, as is experience of working in a
consulting environment. You will be able to demonstrate strong business acumen, have exceptional problem solving and numerical skills and an ability to communicate and influence at a senior level.
In particular we would be keen to speak with individuals from a governance, accountancy or actuarial function background.
