Registration

All students accepted for entry onto IRM's qualifications will be deemed to have accepted the student regulations and guidance, which must be read prior to submitting their application form, and to abide by the Institute's code of conduct for members.

Registration dates

Candidates can join the Institute at any time of year as a student. However enrolment for the Diploma does not open until 1 October. Diploma students enrolling before 1 October will have access to all Institute membership benefits but will NOT receive access to the Diploma study materials and support area until enrolment opens.

Students joining between 15 December and 30 June benefit from being able to enrol at the previous year's fee rates.

Re-take fees

Module re-take fees are £125 for the fisrt module and £35 for any additional modules. The online resources fee is £25 per module.

Discounts

Existing IRM Member Discount

A discount of 10% on module fees is available for existing Affiliate or Certificant members moving onto the Diploma .

Agreed partnership Discount

A discount of 10% on module fees is available to students who who register on the Diploma through an approved partnership arrangement with another organisation. The current agreed partnership organisations are SWERMA, AIRMIC, ALARM and MII.

Low-GDP Discount

The Institute of Risk Management offers concessionary rates to students living, studying and sitting their examinations in one of the countries listed below. Students meeting these criteria should pay the low GDP rate:

Azerbaijan, Angola, Bangladesh, Central African Republic, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam. Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Refunds

Under no circumstances are refunds given for the one off admission fee, student subscription, and online resources fees. Please refer to the student regulations and guidance document for further information.
